Ray Claxton is an associate professor of advertising and teaches art direction, visual communications, and creativity/design thinking. He has over 24 years of experience in the advertising, design, and marketing fields, and he’s created award-winning television, web, and interactive campaigns.
Ray has taught design and advertising students in New York with various positions at Alfred University, Nazareth College, and Rochester Institute of Technology. After receiving his MFA in Graphic Design, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While there, he developed and was the Director of the Graphic Design Minor within the College of Creative Arts. He moved back to Oklahoma in 2017 and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University before coming to the University of Oklahoma and Gaylord College.
He has an unhealthy obsession with ravens and pop culture, and is a superhero in an alternate reality.
