Theater has always been a defining interest in my life, even at a young age. When choosing where to study, the University of Oklahoma drew me in through the people I met during my tours and auditions. The kindness and support we get here is like no other school I have ever seen. Once I graduate, I plan to work in Oklahoma City and help build the film community that's already starting to grow there.
College is a financial challenge for my family. Scholarships are so meaningful because they allow me to pursue my dreams and provide me greater freedom to seek industry opportunities so I can show everyone exactly how great OU acting graduates are.

To further assist our talented students in achieving their educational dreams, the college is fortunate to have several groups of dedicated donors and patrons who are committed to our students. These diligent friends aid in audience development, raise funds for scholarships and educational travel expenses, and hold special events to provide exclusive and unique engagement opportunities and experiences. We encourage you to consider making a financial contribution to support these worthy efforts and to get involved in supporting and area that resonates with you the most!

In celebration of college's centennial year, the Centennial Scholarship Fund has been created to sustain the tradition of excellence in the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts. Scholarships awarded through this fund will allow our students to continue receiving the finest instruction with the promise of a successful future.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if enrichment funds were available to turn "would have been great" opportunities into "it changed my life" realities?
One of the best ways to assist in a student’s artistic journey is to provide them with the support necessary to experience unique and often unplanned educational opportunities.
The Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts Dean's Circle is an annual giving society comprised of the college’s closest friends. The Dean’s Circle provides much-needed enrichment funding for students and faculty.
Friends of the Arts age 40 and under can join the Dean's Circle as a "Young Patron" for a $250 annual gift. Young Patrons receive all the benefits of Dean's Circle membership.
For an annual contribution of $2,000, Dean's Circle members receive special perks including recognition in all University Theatre performance programs, exclusive members-only members-only events, and two season tickets to nine University Theatre productions of drama, musical theatre, opera and dance (online streaming may be available for some productions).
Current members of the OU President’s Associates may join the Dean’s Circle at the discounted rate of $1,000 gift.
We invite you to join us as a University Theatre sponsor during our 2024-2025 season!
OU University Theatre reaches an audience of over 30,000 local patrons of the arts, offering opportunities for your business or personal generosity to be recognized throughout the entire season. Sponsors receive several exclusive benefits, including listing in programs, lobby signage, social media and more in appreciation of your support for our exceptional students and programming.
With your help, we can continue to support students in the Fine Arts family at a moment's notice. Gifts of all sizes are greatly appreciated! No matter the amount, your contribution will go towards helping our deserving students.
As the most comprehensive college of fine arts in the state, the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts is proud of the talent and versatility exhibited by our highly recruited students year after year. Offering complete programs in the performing and visual arts, we understand that our students maintain demanding schedules and many operate on tight budgets. While most are employed part time, weeks packed with classes, projects, rehearsals, exhibitions and performances often make it impossible to work extra hours at a job.
The Fine Arts Student Emergency Fund ensures our students are able to receive immediate assistance during extreme financial hardship while continuing to pursue their dreams. Your gift ensures funds can be quickly awarded to students in the midst of unexpected real-life events. You have the opportunity to change a student's life by giving them the gift of hope and support in the face of adversity.
Here are a few examples of how your contribution to the Student Emergency Fund could help:
A schedule packed with classes, exhibitions, rehearsals and a part-time job means even a small car repair can strain a student's budget.
The lack of means to fix personal devices, or to acquire reliable internet service, can hinder students from attending class.
Whether our students need to buy dance shoes or repair their musical instrument, essential arts and performance supplies often have specialized price tags.
In times of extreme hardship, this level of assistance can help a student facing financial challenges to complete a semester in order to enroll in the next.

The OU Theatre Guild supports the students and faculty in the Peggy Dow Helmerich School of Drama and the A. Max Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre. The guild encourages all student performers by a visible show of support through activities including providing scholarships, grants, awards, strike parties, and other social activities.
Formed in 2003, Dance Partners and its more than 300 members provide support for the School of Dance, including more than $360,000 in scholarships and matching funds. In addition to scholarships, Dance Partners assists with audience development and encourages student performers by visible support through a variety of activities, including grants, awards, and social activities.
I chose to study dance at the University of Oklahoma because their exceptional dance program has molded many students into versatile dancers. I am confident my degree will allow me to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer.
I am financially responsible for myself, and I work full-time when possible to cover the costs of tuition, rent, groceries and other necessities. Scholarships relieve a lot of the stress of paying for school and staying focused on my goals. Dance is incredibly important to me and has been a driving factor in my life – I cannot see myself in any other field.
