Admission Requirements

For full admission to the LXDT programs, applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA. Applicants who have lower than a 3.0 cumulative GPA may be admitted conditionally if their last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework is 3.0 or higher, and their GPA is at least  2.75.

New Applicants to OU

Applicants must be accepted by both the program for which they are applying and the Graduate College. The University has a unified online application that fulfills both the LXDT Program and Graduate College application requirements simultaneously. Once all required application materials have been uploaded and your application is complete, the application will first be reviewed the Graduate College personnel. Then the program area faculty will review the materials and you will receive an admissions decision from departmental personnel.

Change of Program Applicants

OU graduate students who are interested in changing their program of study to the LXDT program may apply to add or change programs via this link: gograd.ou.edu/apply.

Rolling Admissions Deadlines

Completed applications to the LXDT M.S. program are reviewed throughout the year, as they come in.

For fullest admissions consideration, including for assistantships, and for international students seeking a VISA to study in the U.S, Please apply by February 1st.

Completed applications will be reviewed first by the OU Graduate College. After that, the LXDT program area faculty will review your materials and you will receive an admissions decision through the college.
