  • This research should be conducted, as its potential benefits to the military far out weigh the costs of execution. Currently, there is a general assumption that air shows, open houses, fly-overs and guest days are beneficial to the military, as they raise the public's perception of the military. This general assumption needs to be empirically tested, so that improvements to military-sponsored events can be made, and their true potential realized.
