RADIO

ADVANTAGES
- Average American listens to radio for 3 hours and 18     minutes every weekday-and 5 hours and 45 minutes every weekend. 
- Adults spend more time listening to the radio than ANY other major medium 
- The audience spends 85% of their time with electronic media such as radio, but spend only 15 % of their time with print media such as magazines and newspapers 
- The audience listens to radio at home, at work, while driving, and during other leisure activities 
- More than 1,100 U.S. radio stations broadcast over the internet

DISADVANTAGES
- The newest mass media, the Internet, has encroached on the turf of radio, television, and print
