Ongoing Projects
- This team is currently on hold pending direction of the the new Norman Campus Data Governance Committee (N-DGC).
- Team member Patrick Livingood of the Information Technology Council is pursuing review and decomissioning of old, obsolete policies that may have been superseded by newer IT Security Policies.
Completed Projects
- Surveyed Norman and Tulsa campuses for current policy-making bodies and policies, which has been posted here and to the Information Technology Council website.
- Created current OU Norman IT- and data-related policy summaries and a matrix to highlight current policy gaps/overlaps and provided that information to the now-disbanded Data Governance Coordinating Committee (DGCC) and new Norman Campus Data Governance Committee (N-DGC).
- Recommended review and possible decomissioning of old, obsolete policies through the Information Technology Council.
- Reviewed and approve Cognos Standards previously adopted by the old ODS Team.
- Approved Cognos report migration process to Production: This process was originally outlined for a possible new web application workflow in OCRC request 1007, which has now been permanently suspended after IT reorganization. In a follow-up meeting with IT, it was decided that report migrations to Production would be handled via e-mail for the time being. If an automated workflow process is needed in the future, Cherwell and Initas will be considered as possible solutions.
