DART Policy & Recommendations Subteam Function and Charter
The DART Policy & Recommendations Subteam seeks to study issues and make recommendations that will enhance the OU reporting environment.
Falling under the over-arching DART charter, the DART Policy & Recommendations Subteam Charter is:
Study and make recommendations on issues affecting the reporting environment such as data, reporting tools and licensing, best practices, policies, standards, and other items, focusing primarily on the areas of student, human resources, and financial data. Communicate to the DART Chair and/or Data Governance Coordinating Committee any critical data issue, data definition issue, data security issue, reporting tool issue, questions of project priority or resources, issues requiring a decision between conflicting views or alternatives, and issues that have broad implications for the reporting environment. Implement decisions of the DGCC.
NOTE: This subteam has been in somewhat of a holding pattern since December 2017 with the transition from the Data Governance Coordinating Committee (DGCC) to the Norman Campus Data Governance Committee (N-DGC) and is currently uncertain of future activities pending direction of N-DGC. Three items created by this subteam have been given to the N-DGC to aid that new body in its work. They are: 1) Standing IT- and Data-Related Committees OU Norman Campus, 2) Existing IT- and Data-Related Policy Matrix Draft, and 3) Existing IT- and Data-Related Policy Summaries Draft.
