Does something seem off? Be aware. Trust your instinct.

  • Significant change in appearance, mood and/or social functioning
  • Behavior that creates a disruptive or hostile environment
  • Actions that potentially endanger the safety of any member of the OU community
  • Behavior that impacts one's ability to function appropriately and successfully on campus
  • A sense that someone is struggling or that something is wrong
  • Concerning behaviors such as suicidal ideation, threats of violence, or substance abuse.

These behaviors, especially when more than one are present, may be signs that a student, faculty member or staff member is in distress.

University Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center helps students at OU by providing comprehensive mental health services. Students can seek support through individual and group counseling, online mental health services, crisis intervention, outreach and prevention programs.

OU Advocates

OU Advocates are available 24/7 for all OU community members who may need services related to experiencing sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, or sexual harassment. Call or text (405) 615-0013 for free and confidential services on campus.

Academic Life Coaching

The Academic Life Coaching program at The University of Oklahoma is an innovative mentoring approach designed to provide individualized student support. The program provides a specially trained coaching mentor who meets regularly with their students throughout the semester.

Graduation and Persistence Support

The Office of Graduation and Persistence Support assists undergraduate students facing issues that could impact their success or degree completion. Our team works collaboratively with University partners to ensure care and support for our students.

Office of Advocacy and Education

Office of Advocacy and Education is dedicated to cultivating a safe and affirming environment for all students. Our services include OU Advocates, the OU Food Pantry, gender-based violence awareness and prevention training, and overall wellness education.

TELUS Health Student Support

Through the UCC's partnership with the TELUS Health Student Support app, you can access free, confidential mental health counseling and support 24/7 in several languages via the app, telephone, and the web.
