The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication supports students through scholarships, study abroad, and emergency funding. The requirements for the scholarships and funding are merit and financially based. In 2026, Gaylord College awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students.

Experience Fund
The Student Experience Fund is for students with demonstrated financial need who need support to participate in travel-related and other experiential learning activities in Gaylord College. Please note that a limited amount of funding is available and is not guaranteed.
OU Onward is for Oklahoma residents whose families have an adjusted gross income (AGI) between $60,000 and $75,000 per year.
Funding is awarded to students based on extreme financial need.
Funding is awarded to students based on documented, unforeseen financial need.
OU Student Relief Fund (SRF) provides assistance to students who face natural disasters, theft of personal property, death in the family, and a variety of other circumstances.
