Gaylord Faculty Member Armand McCoy Joins National Advertising Review Board

Armand McCoy, advertising instructor and executive director of Lindsey + Asp at Gaylord College, has been appointed to serve as a Panel Member for the National Advertising Review Board (NARB). The NARB is the appellate body of BBB National Programs’ advertising self-regulation program, which works to ensure truthfulness and accuracy in advertising.

In his new role, McCoy will evaluate case records, party briefs, and hearings to make determinations on advertising claims. Each NARB panel includes representatives from national advertisers, agencies, and academia, reflecting McCoy’s professional background, involvement in the broader advertising industry at local and national levels, and his contributions to the academic community. The two-year appointment includes participation on at least two panels per year, conducted through virtual hearings and deliberations.

“This opportunity presents a unique platform to highlight Gaylord College’s commitment to leadership in advertising education,” McCoy said in his announcement. “It will also enable me to bring back insights and national industry and brand connections that can benefit our students and programs directly.”
