Acacia McDonald is a public relations senior from Albuquerque, New Mexico with a minor in history. McDonald has experience with OU Softball, Sooner Sports Properties and the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, post-grad she hopes to go to law school and continue to serve others in any way she can.

It’s Wednesday, April 19, 1995, 9:01 a.m. It’s a brisk, clear spring morning in Oklahoma City, and most people have just gotten to work. By 9:03, 168 people will have lost their lives, and Oklahoma City will have been changed forever. In the aftermath of the bombing outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, storytelling will have embarked on a new frontier that will change the way it is consumed, and those changes can still be seen today.
On Oct. 25, friends and students of Gaylord College gathered at the Switzer Center for an evening with some of the brightest women in OU Athletics. The event was put on by Gaylord Women in Sports, an organization in its inaugural year in the college.
