2022 JRCoE Spring Convocation

On Saturday, May 14, 176 students walked across the stage at McCasland Field House for the 2022 Jeannine Rainbolt College of Eduacation spring convocation ceremony.

Dean Stacy Reeder addressed the crowd, along with 2022 Outstanding Senior Laura Minyon. Minyon reminded the students with all they have been through over the last several years, adapting to a new normal with Covid changing everything, that they are ready to face the challenges in front of them. That could mean work in a classroom, as an administrator, counselor or even in higher education.

One of the highlights for the day was watching Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe receive her doctorate in instructional leadership and academic curriculum. The College of Education holds close ties with Sister Rosemary and St. Monica's Vocational School for Girls in Gulu, Uganda with Professor Sally Beach leading their educational efforts and JRCoE students participating in a study abroad program there each summer.
