Jenn Doughty will be moving from the University Initiatives Team to lead fundraising efforts as the development officer for the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. Effective immediately, she will be working with Dean Stacy Reeder and the faculty and staff to support funding priorities.
Before joining the OU Foundation last fall, Doughty worked at the University of Oklahoma for more than 17 years, including most recently as director of housing. She has an impressive skillset built up over her years at OU – deep knowledge of the university and its history, relationships that are solid and widespread across OU, a strength in navigating challenging conversations to a desired outcome, and an ability to build quick rapport with any person, anywhere, anytime. Doughty has put these skills to quick work as a fundraiser at OUF, including securing funding for an outdoor classroom at the JRCoE’s new Institute of Child Development space and other major gifts supporting the college’s Debt Free Teachers and other financial aid programs.
If you’ve had the chance to work with Doughty, you probably laughed at least once during your conversation, and found her to be collaborative and caring by nature. She is married with two kids, and a deeply believes that Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
Doughty earned her master’s degree from the JRCoE in adult and higher education, so she is eager to return to Collings Hall, where her office will be located.
