McElroy successfully defends Dissertation

Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth McElroy who successfully defended her dissertation titled, "The Pleasure Placebo: The Role of Religion and Gender in Sexual Enjoyment." Dr. McElroy's dissertation represents three studies with different data sets examining the complex interplay between Americans' religious characteristics, scripts related to norms around gender, and their experiences of sexual enjoyment. Her committee was Sam Perry (chair),  Ann Buetel, Cyrus Schleifer, Meredith Worthen, and Hairong Song (Psychology). Liz has accepted a post-doctorial position at the School of Public Health at the University of Indiana, Bloomington.  Please join us in celebrating Dr. McElroy's successful completion of her doctorate degree in sociology.

Congratulations and well-done, Dr. McElroy!
