Congratulations to Sociology MA student Sally Wiser and PhD student Oyindamola Okuwa who have qualified for the finals of the campus wide Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. The 3MT is a graduate students competition testing participants capacity to explain theire research in three minutes using language appropriate for a non specialized audience. This year, Sally and Oyin qualified for the finals after beating out 41 other students to qualify for the top ten. Oyin is presenting her research titled "Women's Decision-Making Power and Contraceptive Use in Nigeria" and is being mentored by Dr. Loretta Bass. Sally is presenting her research titled "Illicit Masculinity" and is being mentored by Dr. Meredith Worthen.
