Congratulations to OU Sociology Professor Ann Beutel who has received $8,800 seed funding grant from OU’s Data Institute for Societal Challenges (DISC) to conduct a pilot study designed to develop community college students’ data science skills and sense of belonging at OU. The goal of the project (in collaboration with Matthias Nollert in Chemical Engineering) is to help prepare community college students to transfer to the Gallogly College of Engineering after completing an associate degree.
