Assistant Professor Sam Perry has been recognized with this year’s “Vice President for Research and Partnerships Award for Outstanding Research Impact." This honor is given annually to the OU faculty member whose research has greatly impacted their field and society at large. A public sociologist, Sam has had a busy last two years publishing two books and over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, most of which have dealt with issues of significant public interest such as religious nationalism and the cultural implications of pornography.
