Congratulations to Isabella Chiareli, who successfully defended her Master’s thesis entitled “Body Stories of Postpartum Women: Examining Social Influences on First-Time Mothers’ Body Image.” Her committee members included Ann Beutel (chair), Stephanie Burge, and Mitch Peck. Isabella has been admitted to and will be attending our PhD program in Fall 2020. Her research interests include gender and medical sociology, with a focus on pregnancy and childbirth.
