NAS alum Marcus Macktima, (BA in History with a minor in NAS, 2015; MA in NAS, 2018) was selected as an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Faculty Career Enhancement Fellow by the American Indian College Fund!
Marcus is a doctoral candidate in the OU History Department. His dissertation is tentatively titled “Issues of Forced Political Identities: The San Carlos Apache Peoples.” The Mellon fellowship provides $40,000 to be used for this work.
Marcus' dissertation adviser is Warren Metcalf, also a NAS alum, and adjunct faculty at San Carlos Apache College.
