Visiting Researchers
Visiting researchers contribute an essential dynamic to the community of scholars who comprise the history of science program. We welcome you to contact us prior to your visit, so we may help you make the most of your time or facilitate your work in any way we can.
Short-term fellowships are offered through a generous endowment of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (see the Mellon Travel Fellowship page for details). Through other means of support, scholars may extend their visits for longer periods.
A research visit may involve collaboration and consultation with OU faculty and graduate students. As a visiting scholar, we invite you to share your work, while you are here, by presenting in the Department's colloquium series or by holding a brown-bag discussion. You may find additional materials related to your research project are available in the OU Libraries beyond the History of Science Collections, ranging from digital resources to the Western History Collections.
