Semester-By-Semester Plans
Each degree program checksheet includes a semester-by-semester plan, which is helpful in planning your schedule each semester. Depending on the college, the semester plans are presented in two formats:
- A sequential semester layout on the front of the checksheet, whereby students must follow the sequential listing of courses to graduate in four years.
- A Suggested Semester Plan of Study on the back of the checksheets. These plans show one possible grouping of courses that would allow students to graduate in four years.
Whether the plans are presented in the sequential semester format or in the Suggested Semester Plan of Study format, using the plans will provide valuable information in planning a semester schedule. Each plan includes the prerequisite courses for classes that are required in future semesters.
As you work with these plans, here are some tips to help keep you on track:
- Each plan reflects that students must enroll in 15-16 credit hours each semester to graduate in four years. However, these hours may be spread out over summer school and Intersession enrollments.
- Remember to keep an eye out for prerequisites to help you stay on track.
- As you plan your schedule, check with your department to see what courses the department projects to offer in a given semester.
