Q. Who is my advisor?
A. Students are advised by academic counselors based on their intended Education major and can get information from the Undergraduate Advising office.

Q. When should I be advised?
A. Students are required to attend an initial advising session, where they will receive an orientation to their chosen program and discuss the guidelines for full admission into that program. After admission into the College, students will meet with their academic advisor each semester.

Q. How do I make an advising appointment?

A. You may schedule an advising appointment through iAdvise.

All undergraduate students wishing to be advised through the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education may obtain assistance from the academic advisors in the Undergraduate Advising office, 137 Collings Hall. The services of this office are available to all Education majors, including University College students and others needing information about teacher preparation programs.

Advisement is mandatory, and prior to advance registration. Students are advised in individual advising sessions. During advance registration periods students are advised in scheduled advising sessions; at other times, academic advisors are available on a walk-in or appointment basis.

Students should be familiar with the degree requirements checksheet for their major. Degree Navigator is another helpful tool students and advisors use to view academic requirements and progress.
