About

Oklahoma Votes is a student-led nonpartisan organization sponsored by the Carl Albert Congressional Research & Studies Center. The mission of Oklahoma Votes is to register, educate, and mobilize OU students and community members. With the help of our civic engagement coalition, we make participation in our democracy a priority on campus.

Oklahoma Votes accomplishes its mission through

  • Registering new voters on campus
  • Educating and mobilizing students in civic engagement activities with campus coalition partners
  • Hosting debate watch parties
  • Bringing candidates to campus for bi-partisan dialogue

OU Voting Statistics

The Oklahoma Votes team builds our goals and shapes new initiatives according to data from the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE). As a participating campus, OU receives data every two years about our students' voter registration and participation rates.
