About Elaina:

Elaina Eddlemon is an OU alum from Seminole, Oklahoma. She previously worked for OU as a Peer Teaching Assistant for the University College as an undergraduate student. She also served as a mentor for the Peer Engagement and Preparation Team, an organization that serves as a resource for first year PTA's. Elaina is currently working towards earning her Master’s in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs. She officially joined the University College team in June of 2023 and entered her current role as the Graduate Assistant of First-Year Learning Engagement. Outside of work, Elaina loves spending time with her pets, being outside, and eating good food!

What do you like most about working with new students?

I love being a resource to students. College is an incredibly hectic time, especially for first-year students. I love being a source of information or providing support for students. Making an impact within a student's college experience is something I value.

What advice would you give to OU first-year students?

I would advise first-year students to take time and explore campus! OU has a beautiful campus with many resources, ranging from entertainment to academics. Grab a friend and a map, and find what interests you!

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place is the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. It's a free resource for students, with gorgeous art exhibits.
