Individual and Cultural Diversity

Skip Side Navigation

The Oklahoma Health Consortium considers the internship year to be an important period in the advancement of multicultural competence. The Individual & Cultural Diversity competency is comprised of didactic, experiential, clinical, and outreach opportunities. The specific goals for the Individual & Cultural Diversity competency will be incorporated into each intern’s ITP, given each intern’s interests, site placements, and available opportunities. Interns and CTC faculty will be intentional about applying multicultural competence building throughout their training experiences. It is also expected that interns work with clients of a range of views, backgrounds, and demographics, and provide services that are free of unfair discrimination as mandated by APA ethics code and/or university policy. The Individual & Cultural Diversity competency will extend throughout the other educational and training objectives.
