Here at The University of Oklahoma's Norman campus, we recognize that the Winter Session is a busy time for many students and campus is far from empty. Recognizing the importance of engagement even during the summer, the Office of Student Life and our partners around campus continue to create opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and friends of OU to stay engaged on campus.

COUNSELING
The UCC remains committed to supporting the mental health and emotional needs of our campus community during these challenging times. Counselors and psychiatrists continue to provide clinical services in-person or virtually. This includes counseling intakes, individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, and psychiatry appointments. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency during our non-business hours, please contact 911 or go to your local emergency room.
The UCC is currently utilizing a hybrid delivery model of services. This means we are offering some in person services, as well as, services via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. We remain committed to supporting the mental health and emotional needs of our campus community during these challenging times.
As federal emergency regulations from the COVID-19 pandemic have been lifted, counselors can only practice in the states they are licensed. Therefore, our counselors are unable to provide services to clients when they are located outside of Oklahoma. Clients can receive virtual clinical services when they are located within the state of Oklahoma. Please note these guidelines are put in place by state licensing boards, not OU.
Our assessment waitlist is currently closed as it has reached capacity. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you require psychological testing during this time, we recommend reviewing community providers who may also be able to provide services during this time. Wait times for community providers can vary.
