Nate Goodman Elected IEEE Fellow

Nathan A. Goodman, a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of Research for the Advanced Radar Research Center

Nathan A. Goodman, a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of Research for the Advanced Radar Research Center, has been selected for elevation to Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his “contributions to cognitive and distributed radar signal processing.“   

IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting for this prestigious grade elevation. Goodman has actively participated in IEEE conference organization and previously served as the chair of the IEEE Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society’s Radar Systems Panel.

“This is a well-deserved recognition of his tireless efforts in leading several important radar efforts in the ARRC, the ECE department, and nationwide,” said ARRC Executive Director Bob Palmer.

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Only one-tenth of 1% of IEEE voting members can be selected annually for elevation to the grade of IEEE Fellow. Learn more at ieee.org
