Welcome

Corey Phelps - Dean, Price College of Business

Friends,

As the fall 2021 semester comes to a close, we have much to celebrate. Students, faculty, and staff continue to successfully navigate the challenges and concerns brought about by the ever-changing landscape of the pandemic. I’d like to applaud them for their consistent positivity and determination through formidable times.

As you’ll read, the Price College of Business has achieved numerous new rankings for several programs, from Aerospace and Defense to Finance, Entrepreneurship, and more. These achievements are reflections of what we already know to be true: that a Price College education prepares students to tackle the greatest challenges and opportunities of our times. We are excited to receive such recognition and I’m grateful to our award-winning faculty for creating the successful programs that continue to capture the world’s attention.

In our October newsletter, I shared Price College’s new five-year Strategic Plan. If you haven’t already done so, I invite you to get acquainted with it. We’re very proud of our new plan and energized by its vision for the future of Price College. I look forward to working with you to help us realize our bold vision. In future newsletters, we’ll update you on our progress in implementing the plan.

Over the past two months, I’ve been excited to meet so many of you at our annual Red River Reception in Dallas, the Adams Society gala in OKC, and the alumni tailgate in Norman. The turnout at these events was impressive, and so was the energy and enthusiasm shown by the attendees. I was thrilled to be able to host these events in person again.

Our 2021 fall convocation will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the T. Howard McCasland Field House on the OU Norman campus. Numerous safety protocols will be in place. We hope you can join us for this important annual celebration.

December always provides us an opportunity to look back on the year’s successes while also looking ahead to the excitement of a new year and its many possibilities. Please enjoy the latest news from Price College. May your holidays and New Year be filled with warmth and gratitude. Thank you for your continued support.
