Steed SOA Faculty Offer Study Abroad Courses in Summer 2019

Faculty member Karen Hennes taught “Financial Reporting Issues in Energy” in the Energy Management program offered at the UK-based University of Reading. The Price College students pictured here attended their first corporate visit in London at Orsted, a Denmark-based wind energy company, to learn about offshore wind installations and how UK and US perspectives on energy differ. Serving as a host for the group was Adrienne Barber, a 2009 Price College Energy Management graduate. Other corporate visits included Anadarko Petroleum CompanyBank of America Merrill Lynch and Phillips 66.

Faculty member Richard Price taught "International Financial Statement Analysis" to accounting graduate and undergraduate students. Students spent time in London, Edinburgh and Brussels, and visited the International Accounting Standards Board as well as various public accounting firms and other businesses.

"Cost Accounting," taught by Dipankar Ghosh, is offered as part of the Price College 2019 Global Business Experience in Arezzo, Italy. Company visits enrich students’ understanding and provide an opportunity to apply cost accounting theories to real-world businesses, including an Italian winery.
