In a time of uncertainty, the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma has reasons to celebrate. Two of its programs have risen in the 2021 college rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.

In its 2021 Best Undergraduate Business Programs rankings, Price College’s international business program rose five spots to 24th in the nation, and the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development rose four spots to 27th.  Overall, the college’s undergraduate program ranked 34th among public universities and 53rd among all universities, public and private.

“We are excited to see our undergraduate program and the international business and entrepreneurship majors, in particular, continue to receive the much-deserved national attention they have earned,” said Corey Phelps, dean of the Price College of Business. “Our faculty and staff are committed to delivering, even in a time of unprecedented challenges, the high-quality education our students deserve, and I am grateful that their hard work is receiving such an important and distinguished recognition.”

According to U.S. News, undergraduate business school rankings are based solely on the judgments of deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions. All undergraduate programs also must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

After a reaccreditation process completed in the spring, Price College maintained its business and accounting accreditation for another five years—a distinction granted to less than 5% of business schools globally and one that the college has maintained continuously since 1917.

“Our undergraduate business program prepares leaders of the future who are resilient and well-rounded by combining a strong academic foundation with many experiential learning opportunities, such as studying abroad, new venture development, leadership growth, multicultural business programs and philanthropic enterprises,” said Senior Associate Dean Laku Chidambaram. “This combination, along with the strong work ethic of our students, make them exceptionally qualified to innovate and excel in a global economy where change is the only certainty.”

The Michael F. Price College of Business has experienced significant growth over the past five years in the number of faculty, staff and students and has become OU’s second-largest college, with more than 4,900 students. The college offers undergraduate, master’s, executive and doctoral programs across six academic divisions in Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, Finance, Management and International Business, Management Information Systems, and Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
