Mendell Grinter to Address Price College of Business Sept. 26

Campaign for School Equity founder Mendell Grinter is scheduled to deliver a complimentary, public presentation at the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Dodson Lounge of Price Hall, 307 W. Brooks St., on the OU Norman campus. Grinter is presenting as part of Price College’s annual Distinguished Speaker Series.

Grinter prides himself on his dedication to community and deep roots in achieving school equity for students of color.

His involvement with nonprofit advocacy group Black Alliance for Educational Options as state director in Tennessee and Kentucky, paired with his tenure at Students First NY as deputy chief of staff, solidified his passion and unwavering commitment to children’s education.

As an experienced advocate, Grinter’s leadership guides his work as the executive director of Campaign for School Equity in their mission to ensure access to quality schools. In addition to his career in education advocacy, he previously served as a field organizer in Washington state on the Obama for America campaign in 2012.

In 2017, Forbes named Grinter to its 30 Under 30 list.
