Undergraduate Certificate

The MIS Division at the Michael F. Price College of Business is pleased to offer a fully online certificate in Business Intelligence and Analytics, starting Spring 2021.

This certificate is made possible through collaboration with the Data Science Institute at the Gallogly College of Engineering and a donation from ConocoPhillips.

Data analytics skills are in great demand, and every employee is expected to have good data literacy skills. Therefore, regardless of your major, recruiters want students to have the data, technical and analytical skills to help decision makers derive insights from large quantities of data (Big Data) generated within and outside their organization.

The four-course certificate is available to any undergraduate student at the Price College of Business after completion of the business core, Management Information Systems (MIS 2113). The program does not assume prior programming skills. The courses will be offered in an online delivery format. Several courses will be available every semester, including summer semesters. To obtain this certificate and have it included in their transcript, students should complete MIS 2113 and must successfully complete the following four courses, each consisting of three credit hours for a total of 12 credits:

BIA 3713 Introduction to Business Analytics

BIA 3723 Data Management and Presentation for Business

BIA 3733 Analytics Programming for Business Intelligence

BIA 4733 Data Mining for Business Intelligence
