All current OU policies, those that have broad application throughout OU, are in the process of being migrated to PolicyTech – a new platform and management software OU will use to manage and store policies. This new system will provide convenient access to all policies and will be the definitive source for the most current version of policies.
OU policies are accessible on the OU PolicyTech site or can be accessed via the Office of Policy Management web page.
Implementing a policy management software solution helps OU to administer the policy lifecycle. PolicyTech automates the process of drafting, reviewing, approving, and distributing policies, while providing us the ability to track revisions, retain previous versions and maintain a history of any policy changes. Additionally, PolicyTech offers the ability to search for policies in a variety of ways: by department, subject matter, document owner, or via a custom search.
All policies accessed through the PolicyTech site can be downloaded and printed. Additionally, you can share a policy by copying the Public Access URL listed in the Overview tab of a policy document.
The Office of Policy Management works with policy owners on the migration process and to ensure that the policies are accessible via PolicyTech. To obtain a public access link for use on your department website, please review Policy Links and Public URLs or contact the Office of Policy Management at JHembree@ou.edu.

Policies will be posted on the Office of Policy Managment Webpage as a new or revised policy. A newletter will be published each semster noting new, revised, and revoked University of Oklahoma Policies.
You may view the list of new and recently revised OU policies for any that were effective within the previous six months. Additionally, all OU policies in PolicyTech include a Policy History section within the document, detailing the effective date, along with updates on revisions.
PolicyTech is a web-based internet software that is maintained and housed by NAVEX Global. You will be able to access PolicyTech from anywhere with a computer and internet connection.
A Reader with no other roles does not require any special software. To read (view only) policy documents, you may access the Public Site. Document Owners, Authors, Reviewers, and Approvers require WordModulePlus to edit documents. If a dialog box comes up asking you to install the module when you open a document for editing, click “OK” and it will be installed on your machine if you have Administrator access.
