The University of Oklahoma announced a Call for Summer AI Pilot Projects in alignment with new AI initiatives.
The Call for Summer AI Pilot Projects is for OU Faculty and Staff and the deadline to submit is May 18, 2025, and is a University effort to expand and refine existing AI at OU.
Selected projects will receive up to $10,000 in funding for the three-month summer period. Final deliverables are due August 30, 2025, and community engagement events (office hours, webinars, workshops) will occur in the Fall Semester.
These projects will build AI efforts in teaching, training, research, or creative efforts that will have a large impact at OU. Additionally, proposals with a focus on best practices for governance, policy development, oversight, and monitoring functions are welcome. Topics should include a wide range of AI-related topics in education, from teaching to research or healthcare to governance, and policy.
TIMELINE:
Full Proposals Due: May 18, 2025 (Please submit your project summary to Yessenia Torres at jimeney2@ou.edu).
Winners Announced: May 29, 2025.
Project Working Period: June-August 2025.
Final Deliverables Due: August 30, 2025.
Community Engagement Events: Fall of 2025.
