Meredith Wilkerson
Associate Director, Office of Technology Commercialization
Dr. Meredith Wilkerson serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Technology Commercialization. To help move innovation closer to the market, Dr. Wilkerson coordinates OU’s life sciences patent management with commercialization strategy. These efforts include identifying university intellectual property ready for patent protection, followed by working directly with industry partners and OU startups through the marketing and out-licensing processes to bring the technology to the market for the greater good.
Dr. Wilkerson’s background is heavily focused on the life sciences industry, with direct experience in pre-clinical research, clinical trials, venture advising, and venture capital financing for early-stage companies. Her experiences and professional interests align with bridging the gap between research innovation and commercial opportunity. She is a proud alumna of the University of Kansas, having earned her PhD in Neuroscience in 2009. Dr. Wilkerson completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis) and a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Lynn Health Science Institute (Oklahoma City).
