RCHP Mini-Zines

On a rainbow background, the RCHP logo (magnifying glass examining an inclusive gender symbol to the left of the words "Rainbow Community Heritage Project") is present on the upper left hand corner across from an image of the first RCHP mini-zine covered framed by a cell-phone-looking frame. On the bottom left-hand corner of the image is another larger cell-phone-framed RCHP mini-zine cover, this time showing the "Mapping Queer History" cover ancross from purple block letters that read "Mini-Zine."

To share our collections and provide resources to the community, RCHP hosts a series of mini-zines created by OKPAN staff and interns. Just like our elders before us, zines have proven to be an affordable and fun way to spread the word on the project!

Digital copies of the mini-zines are archived below and accessible as a free download; if you would like a paper copy, please email Meghan (she/her) and let her know!

Sarah Garrison (she/her) from Rogers State University partnered with RCHP for a service learning class to create a RCHP mini-zine in spring 2024. She decided to use the RCHP community archive to provide a resource on the relationship orientation, polyamory.

New to polyamory and confused by the lingo? Want to understand the intersections between polyamory as a relationship orientation and queerness? Want to see polyamorous artifacts?

Grace Chelsy (she/her) from the University of Oklahoma spearheaded the creation of a mini-zine for her community archaeology class in spring 2024. She partnered with Meghan (she/her) from RCHP and Evan Wagoner (he/him) from Oklahoma Queer History. Based on a community poll and team research, she compiled "Mapping Queer Oklahoma."

Currently, we are working on edits to this mini-zine to make it even better for y'all! Stay tuned on our social media pages for updates (follow @rainbow.chp on FB and IG!).
