Monitoring
Data, especially long-term data, is vital for making decisions regarding effective water resources management. Our professionally trained monitoring staff collaborates with federal and state agencies, municipalities, and researchers from OU and other universities to monitor water resources, including:
- Streams and Rivers
- Reservoirs
- Wetlands
- Groundwater
- Marginal Quality Water
- Geomorphology
- Best Management Practice (BMP) Effectiveness
In addition, our staff is working to provide access to new and hard-to-find data through our website.
The Data Portal was established to guide users in retrieving water data for the state of Oklahoma. The Data Portal compiles data sources into one place for users to access. Each data type links to a list of multiple sources that describes each dataset and provides instructions on how to access those data. If you’re looking for other data that are not available on this Data Portal, please contact us to let us know what you need or how we may potentially help.
