Kevin Blackwood joined the OGS in May 2024. He is a Research Associate for the Oklahoma Geological Survey focusing on environmental geoscience projects. His primary research interests include hydrogeology of karst aquifers with an emphasis on mapping anisotropic groundwater flow, landform evolution with an emphasis on cave morphology and karst geohazards, and ecological relationships with local geology. Kevin has been studying karst since 2008 and has worked extensively within Oklahoma, with additional research in the geyser basins of Yellowstone National Park, the cave springs of north Florida, and coastal carbonates in northwestern Puerto Rico.
