OADII was launched in support of the Aerospace, Defense, and Global Security initiative through the Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships at the University of Oklahoma. ADGS is one of four strategic research verticals identified in the university’s strategic plan that applies convergent OU research to significant, real-world challenges. Learn more at ou.edu/research

Radar Innovations:

Ensuring National and Global Security through Radar Innovations

Through strategic investments over the last two decades, OU has created the nationally recognized Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC), which is the largest university-based radar center in the nation. Next-generation radio frequency sensing and communication systems address a range of national security issues. 

Specific areas of strength include defense radars/sensors, signal processing/AI/ML, spectrum sharing, remote sensing, weather/atmospheric radar, applied electromagnetics/antennas, automotive radar, biomedical sensors, UAS, cUAS, rapid prototyping, and microwave/mmw components/packaging.

Sustaining Department of Defense platforms is key to maintaining the readiness and operational capability of the U.S. military.
