OU-Tulsa Staff Member Makes Masks – and You Can, Too

OU-Tulsa Staff Member Makes Masks – and You Can, Too

If you’re looking to sew a face mask for yourself, a loved one or a frontline worker, Rachel Mix with the Department of Medical Informatics at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine can walk you through the steps of creating a simple face mask.

In this video tutorial, she explains what materials are needed and how to construct the mask – providing templates for both adults and children. This method requires the use of a sewing machine, but if you have even basic sewing knowledge and access to a machine, these masks are a cinch.

If you are able, please consider making some extra masks for OU Medicine’s Million Mask Challenge and join the effort to provide desperately needed masks. OU medical students initiated the campaign and are providing two drop-off locations and porch pick-ups in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Learn more here.
