Her recent projects include promoting mental health in underserved K-12 schools through the training of school counselors and clinical mental health counselors (supported by the U.S. Department of Education) and investigating the cumulative health impacts of chemical and non-chemical stressors on children’s development and school absenteeism (funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). She is also actively engaged in interdisciplinary initiatives focused on enhancing school and community resilience, supported by the National Science Foundation and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
