Join us for a day-long tour of top Route 66 sights and landscape-based writing workshop with OU creative writing faculty.

Develop place-based literacy by learning to read place and write about your experience.

Complete an original writing product about your experience with the option digital publication through the festival website.

Day 1 Schedule (April 27, 2024) 8:00am - 5:00pm

Board a coach bus and visit some classic sites along Route 66
Survey classic cars at the Sapulpa Route 66 Auto Museum
Visit the Round Barn in Arcadia
Hear from diverse communities along the Route
Eat a classic Route 66 lunch provided by the Chicken Shack
Develop place-based literacy while on the tour with coached writing exercises
Stop for a drink at Pops! before return to OKC
