Twice a year, usually in October and March, the OU Graduate College hosts meetings to update and seek input from graduate liaisons and staff on policy changes and upcoming initiatives in the OU Graduate College and Office of Graduate Admissions. Invitations to these meetings are emailed to liaisons and staff several weeks before and at least one person from each department who works with graduate students should plan to attend one of the meeting opportunities in fall and one in spring.
The Graduate College has moved the new liaison and graduate program staff training to an online Canvas course.
New liaisons are also encouraged to set up individual meetings with their OU Graduate College degree managment specialists and admissions counselors for more department-specific training.
