Fleet Services

Fleet Services is the authorized service unit provider of motor vehicles, maintenance and fuel in accordance with Regent's Policy section 4.11.6 (pdf) and is responsible for the following:

• Evaluate transportation needs and procure all motorized vehicles for the University in accordance with policies and statutes
• Manage vehicle inventory - provide vehicles to departments through lease programs and the motor pool
• Manage vehicle replacement and disposal; monitor and measure utilization, lifecycle and operating costs
• Provide preventive maintenance and repair services, including auto and truck and parts inventory 
• Provide centralized fueling services that include alternative and conventional fuels; record fuel consumption for each vehicle
• Provide a centralized fleet management database for reports regarding vehicle inventory and operating expenses that integrates all applicable costs and information
• Provide departmental expense reports monthly, as well as inventory and operating expense reports to the OU administration, Federal and State government
• Collect fees for liability insurance fund for motorized vehicles and equipment
