Cathleen Faubert is an Associate Professor of Art, Technology & Culture at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Visual Arts. She earned her MFA from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Media based art projects are multi-disciplinary and multi-sensory, including video art, photography, and olfactory artworks. Research and creative activity focus on our sense of smell as a language to highlight cultural connections to location, disrupted ecosystems, and the unseen. Faubert has exhibited nationally and completed several artist-in-residence programs. AIR programs have helped to shape her scent mapping work in relation to shifting ecologies and corporeal instincts.
