Katie began working for the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department in 2009 then transitioned to working for the Office of the Registrar as Assistant Registrar in 2020 before being named Registrar in July 2024. Katie wants to continue the mission of the Office of the Registrar in supporting current and former Sooners. Additionally, she wants to provide continuity by collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to provide comprehensive enrollment management and academic record services with the utmost integrity and accuracy, while keeping student records secure and confidential. The Office of Registrar oversees Enrollment Services, Academic Records, diploma production, course and room scheduling, athletic certification, transcript evaluation, and Veteran Student Services. 

Katie graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2003 and her Master of Education degree in Adult and Higher Education in 2009. Katie grew up in Stroud, OK, where her parents still reside. Katie's husband, Kevin, also works at OU as the General Manager of the Lloyd Noble Center. They share beautiful twin daughters, Molly and Maggie, and a dog named Daisy.

Your best advice for a high school junior or senior preparing to apply to college:

Ask questions, be curious, and learn from your experiences. Take time to pick a major that makes you feel passionate and curious to learn more. This promotes self-awareness, which will help you find success inside and outside of OU.
