Our graduate program brings together ecologists and evolutionary biologists from across the University of Oklahoma. Most EEB faculty are in our two home departments, Microbiology and Plant Biology and Biology. However, EEB associate faculty come from a variety of other homes across campus, including Geography, Environmental Science, Psychology, and Chemistry.
We foster the fundamentals of theory and natural history that allow our students to grow and pursue careers as university professors, K-12 teachers, conservation biologists, and research biologists. Many choose applied fields in conservation of natural resources, remediation of industrial sites, restoration of degraded lands, and prediction of how human and ecological systems will function in a future world with altered climates and increasingly altered natural ecosystems.
