Master's Degree

EDAH M.Ed. applications are reviewed on a rolling basis during the academic year. Applications submitted after May 1 will not be reviewed until after the following fall semester begins. Most applications received between August 1 and May 1 will receive a decision within three to five weeks of submission.

Please note: the application process for OU Athletics graduate assistantship (GA) positions is separate from admission to the IAA concentration. GA opportunities are posted at https://ou.taleo.net/careersection/stu/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en and are typically filled before mid-April. Applicants are encouraged to apply to both GA positions and the IAA program early in the spring semester.

To qualify for full admission to the EDAH program, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA

Applicants who have less than a 3.0 cumulative GPA may be admitted conditionally by satisfying the following requirements:

  • The last 60 hours of the students’ undergraduate coursework totals 3.0 or higher.
  • The student’s GPA is between a 2.75-2.99.

Students who are admitted conditionally must complete 12 credits (4 classes) in EDAH with a cumulative 3.0 GPA to be able to continue in the program and move to unconditional admission status.

New Applicants to OU (anyone not a current OU graduate student)

Applicants must be accepted by both the program for which they are applying and the Graduate College. Beginning with Summer semester 2014, the University has moved to a unified online application to fulfill both the program and Graduate College application requirements simultaneously. The application may be started using the link found on the “How to Apply” page or by using the Apply Now link. Once all required application materials have been uploaded and your application is complete, the application will first be reviewed the Graduate College personnel. Once the deadline for the program for which you are applying has passed, the appropriate program area faculty will review the materials and you will receive notification on the admission decision from departmental personnel.
