Distance Education Complaint Process

The mission of the University of Oklahoma is to provide the best possible educational experience for our students through excellence in teaching, research and creative activity, and service to the state and society. This extends to all University of Oklahoma students, regardless of their location. If you have an unresolved issue with the University or the program in which you are enrolled, we are here to help you work towards a satisfactory conclusion.

For all University distance education students, we ask that any problem or complaint first be addressed directly with the program in which you are enrolled. Please contact your academic advisor, program liaison, department head, or your college's dean's office to determine appropriate steps for resolving your issue. Each program or college may have a different process for reporting problems or lodging complaints; therefore, they are the best first step for gaining an answer or seeking correction.

If a student is unable to resolve their concern directly through the program or college in which they are enrolled, they are welcome to direct the matter as outlined below:

Students enrolled in a program at Health Sciences Center should contact the Office of Academic Affairs 405-271-5557 or vpacaaffairs@ouhsc.edu. Students may also address complaints with the Health Sciences Center Office of the Provost (405-271-2332).

Students enrolled in a program at OU Extended Campus should contact the PACS Information Desk at 405-325-4414 or 1-800-522-0772, ext. 4414 to be directed to the appropriate university official. Students may also address complaints with the Norman Campus Office of the Provost (405-325-3221).

Students enrolled in a program through OU Online should email online@ou.edu. Students may also address complaints with the Norman Campus Office of the Provost (405-325-3221).
