The Energy Institute, within the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business, builds on Oklahoma’s leadership in the energy industry to educate, prepare and introduce future energy leaders.
With more than 60 years of energy management education, the Price College of Business stands unopposed at the forefront of energy education in Oklahoma. The Energy Institute is structured around three pillars: education, research and outreach.
By bringing expert professionals and thinkers within the energy industry, University of Oklahoma students are trained to address the important issues in the field. The Energy Institute provides conferences, networking events and speaker series engagements to offer platforms where the debates within the energy industry can be held.
Within the Energy Institute's educational structure, the institute offers an executive MBA in hydrocarbons or renewables. This 15-month EMBA provides students with pragmatic education, international study residencies and networking opportunities with faculty and professionals. The institute also offers an Energy Executive Management Program, instructed by OU faculty experts, which next convenes in Oklahoma City on Sept. 23-27 with a select group of top energy executives.
The institute also provides a research arm to explore energy solutions in hopes of further progressing the industry into the future. Of the range of topics offered by the institute, students can expect to be well-versed in the challenges and solutions within the energy industry. The idea is that these students will then be fully equipped to chase those solutions once they’ve entered the professional realm.
